NoDE offers theoretical and practical training with emphasis on hands-on experience in specialized areas, including colorectal laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive hernia, upper digestive, and thoracic surgery.
In the past two years, despite the pandemic containment measures, NoDE has provided 27 educational and training programs offering 471 doctors nationwide more than 4,000 hours of theoretical and hands-on training. Leading speakers and instructors from Greece and abroad have participated in these programs.
Our immediate plans include expanding into additional specialties, such as plastic and reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive heart surgery, minimally invasive breast surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and spine surgery.
In 2019, we launched an annual mission to Uganda with the participation of doctors, nurses and other NoDE volunteers to offer medical assistance and train Ugandan colleagues on site.
