The seminar is designed for general surgeons who already perform advanced laparoscopic procedures or bariatric surgery and wish to improve their skills and techniques in this surgical field.
The seminar focuses on the standardization of the sleeve gastrectomy technique, other related revisional procedures, and the management of complex cases.
The program includes:
Theoretical part with interactive lectures, tips & tricks for a successful surgery
Practical training on simulators
Practical part on human cadaveric models
The practical part of the seminar is conducted on human cadaveric models, in a specially designed space resembling an operating room, with a scrub nurse to simulate real surgical conditions. Trainees are divided into small groups and perform the procedures under the supervision and guidance of experienced trainers.
