Simulation
Simulation is an integral part of medical training. Through this process, training takes place in realistic conditions, as opposed to mere theoretical teaching. In surgical training, simulation offers excellent results in perfecting skills without risk to patients.
With the advancement of technology, medical simulation includes a wide variety of tools. We are able to implement scenarios with a high level of realism, in situations identical to those in which trainees will be required to apply their knowledge and skills (operating room, emergency department, nursing wards, even outdoors). Moreover, the use of virtual reality simulators and sophisticated synthetic models enable easy and frequent repetition of scenarios and exercises, as well as a comprehensible performance analysis.
